Discover Bodhi Restaurant, a delicious Asian vegan restaurant located in the center of Sydney, the largest city in Australia.
THE BODHI RESTAURANT
Bodhi Restaurant was founded in 1988 right next to St Mary's Cathedral in the heart of Sydney. It is installed in a delightful and peaceful place, half hidden, which allows customers to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The restaurant has 3 different areas with indoor and outdoor tables. The restaurant is award-winning and highly rated by critics, pioneering vegan and pan-Asian cuisine. The restaurant serves dishes prepared with fresh, organic ingredients and everything is locally sourced. The food is prepared daily and manually by experienced chefs, preserving traditional Asian techniques. There is a variety of amazing and mouth-watering seasonal dishes!
In addition to delicious dishes, the restaurant has a cocktail menu that uses organic herbs, fruits, fresh juices and quality syrups. There is also a wide range of quality Australian craft beers and wines, which have been produced using organic and eco-friendly farming practices.
BODHI RESTAURANT'S MENUS
Bodhi is a vegan restaurant that does not use animal products or by-products. Bodhi's menu follows the Buddhist culinary philosophy of food free of onions, garlic, shallots, leeks and chives. Bodhi's pan-Asian-style cuisine, which includes yum cha for lunch and oriental tapas for dinner, is made daily with local organic ingredients. The menu has many gluten-free options available and caters to vegetarians and those with special dietary needs. Check the menu lunch, dinner (works a la carte) and drinks.

OUR EXPERIENCE AT BODHI RESTAURANT
Being vegans, we took advantage of our trip to Sydney to taste the delights of local cuisine in the vegan version. It was through a lot of searching that we became curious to know the food at Bodhi Restaurant. It's worth noting that the restaurant is a little hidden, but nothing that Google Maps can't help. Arriving at the place, a pleasant surprise: outdoor wooden tables under the shade of umbrellas and trees.
The Bodhi Restaurant works as a sort of all-you-can-eat lunchtime. But, instead of having a fixed price per person, for each dish that is brought by the waiter, you choose whether to keep it or not. If you want, the waiter will write down on a form that you have at the table that you took one of those dishes. The portions are small (oriental tapas style) and are meant to be shared, so it is possible to taste several dishes at the same meal.

We arrived at the restaurant still half empty around noon. But as soon as we sat down, the restaurant started to get pretty full. As everything was new to us, whenever a waiter approached with a portion, we asked about it. We were very curious to try several types of tapas. We just ate. We had good expectations of the place, but we did not imagine that the experience would be so nice and the food so delicious.
OUR IMPRESSIONS ABOUT BODHI RESTAURANT
In addition to the super charming atmosphere, excellent service, the food was divine. And people get a little excited with the small portions and we end up ordering a lot. Many of the dishes are reimagined recreations of traditional Asian cuisine in a vegan version. Even snacks that resembled shrimp were available.
We highly recommend a lunch at Bodhi. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is very peaceful, making customers super comfortable. For those looking for quality food and no animal ingredients, Bodhi Restaurant is an excellent choice!
