San Francisco is a city with many dining options. There are diversified cuisines from all over the world, exquisite restaurants, recognized in international guides among the best in the world. And, of course, there are always plenty of fast food options from the big food chains. A super cool meal suggestion that counts as a meal + tour is to have a lunch overlooking the sea at the Cliff House, which is on a rock close to the beach and with a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean.
GETTING TO KNOW THE CLIFF HOUSE
The Cliff House's prime location is perfect for combining a hike along the incredible trails of Lands End or a stroll along Ocean Beach, a wide stretch of sand in San Francisco. At the Cliff House are located the Restaurant sutro's (to the right of whoever enters the place and the The Bistro, to the left.
sutro's
Sutro's is an elegant yet casual restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows and stunning panoramic ocean views. There's plenty to see inside Sutro's from every angle: the famous Seal Rocks, the coastline of Marin, the Golden Gate Bay, and of course the Pacific Ocean. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner and still has a Pub.
The Bistro
Bistro Restaurant offers a casual dining experience with classic San Francisco flair at breakfast lunch and dinner. In line with its casual atmosphere, the Bistro does not take reservations. On Sundays it is served brunch for a fixed fee of US$ 55 per person. Brunch includes waffles, pancakes, omelets, cakes, pies and even champagne. It's that kind of experience to roll out of the restaurant, isn't it?

OUR EXPERIENCE AT CLIFF HOUSE
We went in the most informal one, which is the The Bistro and you don't need reservations. We sat at a table very close to a large window that gave us a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean.
Arriving at the table, the waiter already brings water and a basket of delicious breads. It was around 2 pm and hunger was hitting hard. So we opted for even more carbohydrate: sandwiches with fries!
After lunch, we took the opportunity to take a walk around the place and admire the beautiful view even more. A tip is always to take a coat or scarf because as it is on top of a rock, it is very windy in the place.
