This is our second restaurant tip in the city of Yountville, in Napa Valley. In the first one, we talk about our experience in the Hurley's Restaurant and about this graceful wine town. And delicious restaurants abound in Yountville! And this is also the case for Redd Wood Restaurant, a great option for those who want to taste Italian food, whether it's pizza or pasta.
THE REDD WOOD RESTAURANT
The Redd Wood Restaurant, by chef Richard Reddington's, is next to the North Block Hotel and has a relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful, super charming interior decoration. Outside, both in front of the restaurant and on the side patio that it shares with the hotel, there are also several outdoor tables to enjoy the pleasant climate of the most famous wine region in the United States.
Redd Wood aroused our curiosity to know it as it is highly rated on the TripAdvisor website and has affordable prices. Among the main dishes, the restaurant offers wood-fired pizzas and homemade pasta made with local ingredients. The menu is not very varied, but among the options are roasted quail and sirloin meats. The restaurant also offers American breakfast (omelets, bacon, muffins).

OUR RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE
We had already made our reservation in advance through the website. OpenTable, but we arrived ahead of schedule and had no problem getting a table. The day in Yountville was beautiful and, although the restaurant was still pretty empty, we preferred to enjoy that beautiful blue sky sitting outside, in front of the restaurant. As our itinerary still had two more visits to wineries planned, we stayed on the water and went through the wine list (there are options for glasses from US$ 9).
Our order was a starter of spicy chicken wings and we also shared a pizza. We even thought about ordering the raw ham, which seemed to be a very interesting option, but the love for four cheeses (our favorite always!) spoke louder and, to our delight, it had gorgonzola, something so difficult to find in four cheese pizzas. here in the United States! And the surprise was the arugula that came over the cheeses, but it was very fresh and tasty and the pizza had a crunchy and delicious dough. We highly recommend!
