Switzerland is synonymous with incredible cuisine with lots of cheese and wine! Swiss cheeses are varied and simply delicious. They are the basis of many typical dishes of the country, such as fondue and raclette. In this post, we share our experience of a delicious fondue restaurant in Geneva!
FONDUE RESTAURANT IN GENEVA
One thing we were sure of about our trip to Geneva: we had to eat at a fondue restaurant! And it was researching a lot on the internet that we found the Les Armures a restaurant that was in line with the quality we expected (it was highly rated by users), it was super well located in the historic center of the city and had prices within what we were willing to pay (by Swiss standards).
Les Armures is part of a complex that also includes a 5-star hotel, the Hotel Les Armures. The location is fantastic, next to Geneva city hall and close to the main attractions.
The restaurant has an outdoor area, with tables on the sidewalk. However, as it was still the first days of spring, it was a little cold, so we decided that it would be better to eat inside. We don't even need to mention that this combination of cold + fondue + wine is perfect for an unforgettable dinner in Switzerland, right?

OUR EXPERIENCE AT LES ARMURES
Les Armures' menu is vast and has several options of soups, salads, meats, pastas, cheese boards, among others. But we were there just thinking about the delicious cheese fondues! After reviewing the menu, we decided to order a portion of raclette, a typical Swiss food that is nothing more than melted cheese, accompanied by potatoes, bread and vegetables. We ordered a red wine to go with it, after all, this is the perfect combination for Swiss dishes.
We opted for the traditional cheese fondue, which was delicious. The restaurant also has other options on the menu: cheese with herbs, cheese with tomato, cheese with mushrooms, and cheese with mushrooms and bacon.

The fondue was so delicious that we decided to order another one! This time, the choice was the cheese with herbs. In fact, it was just the traditional fondue with oregano and other herbs mixed in. It was very tasty, but we who are crazy about cheeses prefer the first one we eat. For dessert, we shared a dessert that consisted of three scoops of ice cream (each with a different flavor), whipped cream, syrup and a decorative wafer.
