OUR CAIRNS HOTEL EXPERIENCE

We arrived in Cairns very tired after hours of flying and we were dying to go to our room to rest. We were greeted at reception by a friendly staff who attended us promptly. She informed us of all the details of our stay, schedules for the breakfast buffet that was included in our rate. Our room was facing the pool area, with a queen size bed and another double bed. There was a fridge, free wifi, air conditioning and coffee and tea making facilities. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean and tidy. The only point of improvement we found is that we thought the rooms could be renovated to be more modern. The bathroom still has a very old decor, but it was very spacious and clean.

The pool area is amazing! There are towels available at both ends of the pool, with lounge chairs and umbrellas. In the pool, there are inflatable mattresses to float while sunbathing. By the way, the pool doesn't even look like a pool, it looks like a lagoon or a small beach, as it has a little sand at one end. We ended up enjoying the pool a little bit due to the walks we did during the day that took a lot of time, but it is still a pleasant place to relax and have a drink on one of the hot afternoons in the city.

As for breakfast, we have nothing but praise! What an incredible variety of food. There are options for all tastes, breads, fruits, cold meats, cereals, hot options, even gluten free options. Less than a year ago we became vegans and we were also able to eat well, as there was a wide variety of breads, jams, fruits, nuts and delicious teas and coffees. The cafe area is delicious and very spacious and there are also tables outside, close to the pool. During lunch and dinner, the space works as a restaurant and even has live music.

Another positive point of the hotel was its location. First, we took an Uber from the airport and were at the hotel in about 10 minutes. In addition, we could do absolutely everything on foot in the city, from restaurants at night, to tours that left the city's ship terminal bound for the Great Barrier Reef. We have no doubt that this hotel in Cairns is a great choice for accommodation in the city.
