One of the things we like to do most when we go to Italy is to taste the delights of the local cuisine. We always keep incredible memories of tasty dishes from the best cuisine in the world. And our passage through the city of the Renaissance was no different. See our tips on where to eat in Florence and have an unforgettable trip!

We separated our tips into 5 restaurants, 2 more ice cream shops (since Italian ice cream is arguably the best in the world) and one more bonus tip! Come on?

1. Buca Niccolini

Ristorante Buca Niccolini has a varied menu that includes authentic Italian food with tasty pasta and huge pizzas. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor tables to enjoy the pleasant European summer nights. This was the first, and perhaps only time, that we were able to order half a pizza with half a calzone! Things that only Italy can do for you! The restaurant's location is great. close to Florence Cathedral.

  • Address: Via Ricasoli, 5, 50122 Florence, Italy

3. La Galleria Il Vino del Guelfi

This was an indication that the owner of the hotel we stayed at gave us. This restaurant is located on a closed street that resembles a well-maintained village. close to Ponte Vecchio! It's super cozy, has great service and that tasty Italian food! We started with bruschetta and then we had a delicious pasta with white sauce and parma ham.

  • Address: Via de' Guicciardini, 48-r, 50125 Florence, Italy
  • Schedules: Tuesday to Sunday from 12:00 to 15:30 and from 18:30 to 22:00

4. La Prosciutteria

If we were to recommend one and only one place to eat in Florence, it would be the incredible La Prosciutteria. Close to Piazza della Signoria, La Proscutteria was a tip we got from our friend Camila and it was so good that we went twice! It's a real Italian pub, super simple, with inlays hanging from the ceiling, but offering an incredible Italian experience. They do not have a restaurant license and therefore cannot serve at the table. You order at the counter whatever cold cuts board you want with cheeses, sausages, rolls and much more. Serve with a glass of wine or Italian beer and you're done! The place is super tight and you have to get there early to get a spot, but we guarantee it's worth it!

  • Address: Via dei Neri, 54r, 50122 Florence, Italy
  • Schedules: daily from 10:30 to 23:00

5. Mister Pizza Firenze

With two locations in Florence (one right next to the Cathedral), Mister Pizza provides a pleasant experience for a quick bite or an Italian ice cream. There we met a super friendly Brazilian who worked as a waitress at the restaurant and has lived in Italy for many years. It was a great experience to eat seeing the beautiful Duomo in Florence. One of the advantages of this place is that it is open during the night and even if you arrive late in the city, you will have a place to eat.
