Located in the state of Arizona, the Grand Canyon It is certainly one of the most beautiful places we have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The place, considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders and a UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) World Heritage Site, has been shaped over millions of years by the Colorado River. The view is really stunning and the immensity of the canyon surprises any visitor!

For those who have little time to visit the place, the ideal is to take the opportunity to take a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon that leaves Las Vegas, Nevada, and goes to the so-called West Grand Canyon which is the same place where the well-known “The Grand Canyon Skywalk” is located, which is that transparent platform on top of the Grand Canyon built in 2007, whose territory belongs to the Hualapai Indians. HOW TO SCHEDULE A HELICOPTER TOUR
The first step is to make a advance reservation of the tour (Click here to see several other Grand Canyon tours and packages including the Skywalk). The price is a little steep, but we guarantee it's worth every penny! A minibus will pick you up at the hotel you are staying in Las Vegas and take you to nearby airports that are authorized to do this type of tour.

WHAT THE HELICOPTER TOUR INCLUDES
Inside the helicopter you will have the pleasure of flying over the Hoover Dam, a very famous dam that is on the border between the states of Nevada and Arizona and which was also the scene of the movie “Transformers”. You take an aerial tour of the Grand Canyon West until you land in an area where there are some wooden tables. The value of the tour includes a picnic, and each person gets a basket with a snack, snacks, drinks. To end the tour, the helicopter pilot who also serves as a guide (he goes throughout the tour telling facts about the Canyon), celebrates the moment by opening a bottle of champagne, serving the visitors.

TIPS
The tour is highly recommended for those who are in Las Vegas and want to get to know the place without wasting too much time (only half a day). An important tip is that, as helicopter flights can cause a little seasickness, for those who tend to feel unwell, it is recommended to take a little medicine before boarding to avoid discomfort. Get organized with your group, as a maximum of 6 people can fly in the helicopter plus the pilot. When boarding, the pilot distributes people considering their weight.

Hello how are you?! Thanks for the explanatory text. About the tour, I saw on the website that the duration is approximately 3h30. Is this the total of the tour (departing and arriving at the hotel) or just the Canyon?
Thank you again!
Hello Fernando!
The time is the total of the tour. If I'm not mistaken, the helicopter ride takes 45 minutes to go, 45 minutes to come back, and it's around 1 hour in the Grand Canyon. The rest is the travel time to pick you up and take you back to the hotel.
Hugs and a great trip to you! 🙂

I would like to know if children can participate in the helicopter tour and if they pay the same as adults. I have a daughter of 4 years and 10 months and we are going to Las Vegas next week. Thankful.
Maria, the tour we did has no restrictions for children. Children up to 2 years old are free, but others pay full price. See more information by clicking here.
There are also other types of Grand Canyon tours. If you're interested, check it out in this link.
Hugs and a great trip to you!
Thank you!
