Forest Suites Resort at Heavenly Village is a hosting option 3 stars super well located just behind the friendly Heavenly Village, which brings together great options for restaurants, shops and leisure.

The hotel has a super cool infrastructure, with a 24-hour reception; large rooms, some with full kitchens; free parking; free wifi throughout the property; It is pet friendly (additional charge of US$ 50 per night); it has two areas with swimming pool, barbecue and hot tube; picnic tables; coin-operated washing machines and dryers; computer station in the lobby; XBOX game center; massage studio; fitness center (gym gym); and Al's Saloon, a lounge with fireplace, bar and televisions to relax and enjoy.

The hotel offers several types of rooms and suites, some with living room, bedroom, full kitchen equipped with utensils that are great options for those traveling with families, small children and dogs, as is our room. The rooms are spacious and very clean.

OUR EXPERIENCE AT FOREST SUITES RESORT

We were looking for a well-located, well-reviewed, pet-friendly hotel with a full kitchen because our main goal was to take our dog Luna to have fun in Lake Tahoe. And that's how we discovered the excellent Forest Suites Resort at Heavenly Village🇧🇷 We've lost count of how many times we've been to the Lake Tahoe area, with Luna it's been at least 4 or 5 so far. We always prefer a place with a full kitchen for two reasons: most restaurants don't accept dogs and we are vegan (we don't consume anything of animal origin). That is, combining the two things is not usually an easy task.

LOCALIZATION

O Forest Suites Resort surprised us very positively. In addition to offering what we were looking for, the location is very convenient, right behind Heanvely Village, the village that is home to several bars, restaurants, shops and entertainment options, and 200 meters from the gondola that takes you to the ski resort at the top from the mountain (Read more: California: Heavenly Mountain Ski Resort at Lake Tahoe).

PET SPACE

As soon as we checked in, Luna received a small jar with the name of the resort and a very large dog biscuit. Our room was right next to a closed area to take the pets to be loose and do their business and play. We think it's great that the hotel has a space like this for the dogs.

OUR SUITE

Our suite was on the ground floor and was huge, with a bedroom with a super comfortable king size bed, tv and a sofa; good-sized bathroom with bathtub; a walking closet where there were more towels and duvets; an excellent size living room with a sofa bed, tv and a large rectangular table; a coat closet where we put Luna's things; an American kitchen equipped with stove, microwave, refrigerator, plates, glasses, pans and utensils for cooking. The cutlery wasn't the best quality, but it did the trick.

The decoration was old, but the apartment was very well organized, spacious and clean. The only thing I didn't like was the pillow. All the ones available were too soft and I like firmer pillows because I get a bit of a sore neck.

OTHER AREAS

We ended up not having the opportunity to enjoy the pool, hot tube, barbecue and other areas of the resort. We also ended up not eating breakfast at the hotel, which was included in the room rate, because we had already taken everything to prepare in the room and, certainly, our vegan options were more interesting than those offered by the hotel (bread, jam and fruits).

In summary, we found everything the resort has to offer very nice and we would definitely stay there again because the infrastructure is very good and the location is perfect!
